Welcome to the Pacific Islands Orthopaedic Association

The Pacific Islands Orthopaedic Association (PIOA) was formed to promote and develop modern orthopaedic surgical care in the Islands of the South Pacific. 
The association was established in Honiara, Solomon Islands and has trainees from nine Pacific Island countries. (Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Fiji, Samoa, American Samoa, Kiribati, Federated states of Micronesia, Palau, Timor Leste and Vanuatu). See map below for locations of our members and trainees.

PIOA welcomes enquiries from orthopaedic surgeons who wish to become members.
The next block – “Upper limb and Reserach modules will be held in September 2024.. 
Applications to commence training in 2025 close on 31 October 2024.
