This course is designed to provide learners with knowledge and skills in
clinical orthopaedics to improve the management of elective and traumatic orthopaedic
conditions involving the knee.
This
course covers history
taking, examination, investigation, arriving at a differential diagnosis and
then planning management (both non-operative and operative) for conditions
around the knee.
It
includes the management of both traumatic (both accidental and sporting
injuries), infection, inflammation and degenerative (osteoarthritic) conditions
around the knee. The course will include simulated training in arthroscopic
surgery and open surgery of the knee joint including total knee replacement.
