This course is designed to provide learners with knowledge and skills in clinical orthopaedics to improve the management of elective and traumatic orthopaedic conditions involving the hip and proximal femur.

This course covers history taking, examination, investigation, arriving at a differential diagnosis and then planning management (both non-operative and operative) for conditions around the hip.  Train learners in the management of orthopaedic conditions affecting the hip including fractures of the pelvis, acetabulum and femoral head and neck, subtrochanteric region.

Train learners in the diagnosis and management of arthritis (degenerative or secondary to SUCFE, Perthes, DDH)
