This course is designed to provide learners with knowledge and skills in clinical orthopaedics with a focus on history taking, clinical examination and appropriate orthopaedic investigations and management of orthopaedic conditions involving the foot and ankle.

 This course covers history taking, examination, investigation, arriving at a differential diagnosis and then planning management (both non-operative and operative) for conditions around the foot and ankle, including trauma and elective.

Train learners in the diagnosis and management of diabetic foot sepsis and Charcot neuroarthropathy.

Train learners in the diagnosis and management of common paediatric foot and ankle conditions (CTEV – clubfoot). These are also dealt with in the Paediatric module (PIOA005).
